See these photos full screen because bigger is better. Kind of like our Minnesota State Fair. Click the FAR RIGHT icon on the photo thumbnail menu bar on top of the slideshow.

I’m not the only “schtick” in town!
Although we vary on the spelling of “schtick”: east coast vs. midwest version?

Fun, fast, and sorry I hit my mike while touching my heart talking about my first corn dog.

OK , so I’m kind of nervous about my appearance on KARE-11 Saturday, 8:30. But I’m taking my lead from these confident 4H presenters, who can answer any question about a cow to a bunch of city folk. With a smile. With patience. With complete sentences. Without putting a hoof in their mouth.

I’m looking for a new car. Now that I’m in the market, I see them all over the Fair. I sat in the driver’s seat, and Hubbie Harvey paused and said, “You look terrible in it.”
There is no photo attached.

I’ve very slowly lost somewhere between 19-22 pounds, give or take a given day or a salt lick, since January. Thanks to Darlene Kvist of www.weightandwellness.com and my dear friend Susan Nelson’s www.thinbeginswithin.com. I am determined that this will NOT be the Fair I gain it – or a fraction of it – or even a pound of it back. (OK, maybe a pound of it.)
To which Bradey Lee at the Kiwannis Malt Stand looked at me like I was nuts and said: “Good luck trying, girlfriend. May the force be with you.”

Thanks to Dorothy Molstad, of Book Architects, for her help in introducing me to the producer of KARE-11′s Saturday show.
I’ll be interviewed at 8:30 AM by Belinda Jensen, and will be showing and talking about my writing and photography of the Fair.

It’s that time of year for me to walk my talk about stickless moments at the Fair. You may see a stick or two, but this photocolumn and blog will be 98% stick-free!
Enjoy, talk back, let’s make these 12 days of fun photostories”sticky”, as we’re now saying in marketing lingo.
